Arthur Grimsdyke

Noisy are children,
loud is a bell,

pungent is perfume,
but you only smell.

A tree is beautiful
if its owner prunes it,

but our town isn't
'cause your presence ruins it.

Some people live in the country.
Some people live in the town.
Why don't you do us a service,
jump in the river and...

  1. Damn dude. Well done. You manage to capture the macabre as well as the melancholy in the Grimsdyke character. Cushing always breaks my heart with that performance, probably because it clearly hits close to home.

  2. Thanks a lot RayRay! Grimsdyke is one of my favourite characters Cushing ever played. Probably my favourite of the Amicus anthology films too.
